Payment depends on the state involved.
The government agency holding the property decides the claim and pays approved property under its own process. Recover and Retain’s service fee is explained separately in the written arrangement.

You do not pay Recover and Retain before a successful recovery. State-specific payment arrangements and any agreed fee are disclosed in writing before signing.
