Privacy
Privacy information for this website.
This page explains the information used for enquiries, security, and anonymous website measurement.
Recover and Retain respects the privacy of people who visit this website or contact the company. Company information for Recover and Retain LLC is listed below. We do not ask for sensitive identity or banking information through the ordinary public contact form.
Information you may provide
You may choose to provide your name, email address, company name, reference number, and the contents of a general enquiry. Please keep initial messages general and do not include Social Security numbers, passport details, driver’s license details, bank details, or full dates of birth.
Anonymous website analytics
We use a first-party, self-hosted analytics system to understand whether visitors view useful information, follow verification resources, and contact us. It records page categories, page sequence, active viewing time, coarse scroll thresholds, selected trust or contact actions, coarse device and viewport classes, broad referrer categories, and approved campaign cohort codes. It does not store names, email addresses, claim or property details, full URLs, URL query strings, raw IP addresses, raw browser user-agent strings, or a persistent visitor identifier.
A random session identifier is kept only in your browser’s session storage, which is scoped to the current browser tab and is removed when that tab session ends. Recipient-style paths are stored only as /r/:token/; the token itself is discarded. Campaign values are accepted only from a pre-approved list of generic cohort codes.
Analytics are disabled when Global Privacy Control or the browser’s Do Not Track preference is enabled. You can also set a first-party opt-out preference below. The preference cookie contains only the value 1, not an identifier.
Checking your analytics preference…
Technical and security logs
The web server uses privacy-reduced access logs that omit query strings, referrers, browser user-agent strings, and IP addresses. Recipient-style paths are normalized so access logs do not become a parallel recipient-level tracking system. Analytics ingestion access logging is disabled. Limited service error logs use request codes and validation reasons without recording submitted event payloads.
How information may be used
Information may be used to respond to an enquiry, verify a communication, communicate about a possible recovery matter, maintain business records, protect the website and company from misuse, measure anonymous website behavior, compare site changes over time, and meet applicable legal or regulatory requirements. Short visits are not treated as evidence of distrust or concern.
Retention
The proposed analytics retention schedule is 90 days for raw events, 13 months for session-level records, and 25 months for daily aggregate statistics. No automated deletion begins until that schedule has been separately approved. Enquiry and recovery records follow their own purpose-specific retention requirements and are kept outside the analytics database.
Sharing information
Information may be shared where necessary with service providers supporting the company, professional advisers, relevant government agencies in connection with an authorized claim, or authorities where required by law. The company should explain any claim-specific sharing before sensitive information is provided.
Rights and choices
Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to certain uses of personal information. Contact the company at leif@recoverandretain.com with a privacy question.
